Replacing one of the best backs in the state will be difficult, but Ty Jenkins' squad believes in Junior quarterback Stephen Mendoza and co.
"We're a gritty team, a blue-collar team, just like the town we live in. Guys who get their hands dirty, we're going to get our hands dirty and go to work every single day. Last year we lost four games by a combined 28 points, and I think they've learned from those experiences and are ready to win those close games," Jenkins said.
Bunnell opens the season against Daniel Hand, of Madison.
