Close to 30 elementary, middle school and high school basketball teams across Suffolk County took part in the second annual Hoops for Hope tournament Sunday in Holbrook.
Hoops for Hope holds a basketball fundraising event that advocates for teen suicide prevention.
It was created by 14-year-old Harold Teller two years ago after he saw a desperate need for youth mental health resources during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Proceeds raised during the all-day tournament at the Rossetti Basketball facility will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
