A horse trainer was convicted in Orange County of beating a horse to death at the Pine Bush Training Facility.
The county district attorney says Frederick Bourgault, 27, was found guilty of all charges, including injury to certain domestic animals, a felony in New York.
The incident happened two years ago. Officials say he struck a horse named Finish Line with a hard object, leading to its euthanasia.
Sentencing is scheduled for July.
