Stratford fire officials are investigating what caused a fire at a vacant house Saturday.
The fire broke out at 30-44 Main St. around 4:30 a.m. The vacant house where the fire occurred is presently up for sale.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Michael Hostetter, the flames started in the basement before spreading to the walls. Hostetter says the age and construction of the house complicated fighting the fire.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
