Hundreds of people gathered in Old Greenwich on Saturday to honor a Greenwich High School student who died from cancer and had a passion for the environment. 
About 600 people signed up to clean the beach along Greenwich Point Park for the second annual Live Like Luke Beach Cleanup in honor of Luke Meyer. 
Luke Meyers was a sophomore at Greenwich High School when he died from cancer in 2019. 
His mom and sister tell News 12 the Live Like Luke event is just a continuation of his incredible legacy he left behind.  
The group was made up of members of local environmental organizations and students from Greenwich High School.
