A New Canaan family is asking for the public's help after a rapid terminal illness struck the family, forcing them into deep financial trouble.
Warner Depuy says his wife, Ann, was diagnosed two years ago with a form of ALS.
Her condition requires hospital equipment and around-the-clock professional help. Depuy says he spends close to $15,000 a month out of pocket just to keep his wife comfortable.
"It's part of what we have to deal with," Depuy says. "It's part of what makes a marriage, part of what holds a family together. It's my job to get her through."
By transforming their home to fit all her needs and hiring around the clock help, Depuy, a father of two, is asking for help to do anything to enjoy every last moment with his wife.
The Depuy family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of medical expenses and nursing care.
