The road will close near Exit 17 starting today at 8 p.m. until Monday at 6 a.m.
Drivers are urged to prepare for heavy traffic if they are planning to travel the route.
The Connecticut DOT says I-95 southbound will be closed.
Traffic will be detoured on the I-95 northbound bridge.
