The iconic Connecticut seafood restaurant USS Chowder Pot IV in Hartford said Tuesday that it will be closing its doors after nearly 30 years in business.

USS Chowder Pot IV in Hartford announced it will close its doors after nearly 30 years in business.
The iconic Connecticut seafood restaurant made the announcement Tuesday on the business's Facebook page.
Owners of the restaurant say they have decided to sell the building due to its age, size, and upkeep.
"After almost 30 years, we will be serving our last guests at the Hartford location in the coming months," the post stated in part.

They say their many soups will still be available to purchase at select retail locations and grocery stores around Connecticut.
The USS Chowder Pot III in Branford will remain open.
