Prison officials have released the identity of the inmate from Bridgeport who apparently committed suicide in his cell yesterday.
They say Edwardo Velasquez was serving a 43-month sentence for drugs at the Osborn Correctional Institution.
He was found alone with a bed sheet tied around his neck.
