Officials are investigating an apparent suicide at the Bridgeport Correctional Center.
The Department of Correction says staff members found Isaias Perez, 36, of Bridgeport, in his cell with a shirt tied around his neck last night and tried to revive him.
Officials say Perez was serving a nine-year sentence for robbery.
State police are investigating.
