A Westport accessories store has found a way to support the Jewish community during the Israel-Hamas war.
Eleven 11 is selling a collection of jewelry pieces created by one its vendors, Marlyn Schiff, based out of Pennsylvania. They have been selling chic and trendy accessories for about five years.
"When she sent out this collection, I just said ‘this feels right,’” says Anne Delorier, owner of Eleven 11.
All proceeds from the collection will benefit the American Friends of Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency service organization.
More than 1,400 people in Israel were killed and 229 people were taken hostage during an Oct. 7 incursion by Hamas militants. Israel has responded with massive bombardments in the Gaza Strip, leading to thousands of deaths.
Delorier says she wanted to find a way to help those most in need.
“The response has been incredible,” says Delorier. “We've tripled our orders, we just restocked yesterday after selling out for a third time. I think people are really touched.”
