Jose Morales has been found guilty of murder and evidence tampering in the 2019 beating death of Christine Holloway.

Jurors got the case for about 20 minutes Monday before court was dismissed. They returned this morning and deliberated for just under two hours before a verdict was reached.

Morales was convicted of killing Holloway, his girlfriend, and spending the next day and a half disposing of evidence.

Morales and Holloway had a 1-year-old daughter together, Vanessa Morales, who disappeared at the time of the crime and remains missing today.

Ansonia police found Holloway beaten to death in her home in December 2019 during a welfare check.
