An annual event aimed to encourage children in the art of comics returned to the Bronx Saturday.
Fans of comics and animation were at Bronx Community College for Kids' Comic Con.
"This is an event that a lot of people who come here cannot afford to go to at the Javits Center because of the expense or they're not aware of it," says Alex Simmons, the event's founder.
Simmons started the event 10 years ago with a mission to encourage positivity through imagination and creativity.
The free event is open to the public and invites families to participate in drawing workshops and get to know comic artists.
