Kids improve baking skills at Chef's Emporium cooking camp
Kids in Orange are improving their baking skills at a unique summer camp.
Chef's Emporium on Boston Post Road is holding a baking-themed cooking camp this week for kids and teens.
Campers learn how to bake and decorate cupcakes, cookies and mini cakes.
The goal is to inspire kids to make their own food so they know exactly what is going into it.
“People are eating out a lot more – they're eating cheap food, quick food frozen food,” said Chef John Tyburski. “It’s good to get the kids involved early because when you get them young they'll enjoy cooking more.”
No previous experience is necessary to be eligible for the program.
News 12 Connecticut is told that Chef's Emporium will have more cooking-themed classes throughout the summer
