Lamont says he doesn't want to 'wait another minute' to improve police accountability in state
Lamont is instituting a no chokehold policy for state police and is hoping local municipalities follow suit.

-Lamont is instituting a no chokehold policy for state police and is hoping local municipalities follow suit.
-Body cams for most, if not all, police officers. Lamont added he wants police to have nothing to hide and wants a four-day release on body cam videos.
-Lamont said it is police officers "legal requirement" to stop police brutality if they see it.
-"We're directing our state police to make sure they have a community liaison officer in each and every one of their troops, build off of that, make sure we have those relationships with the community going forward. Make sure we build up that trust and earn your trust every day because that's what good policing is all about," said Lamont.
-The governor said he wants a police force that represents the diversity of the state and that starts with recruiting.
