Legendary Bronx sports figure Burt Beagle loses battle with cancer
Local sports legend Burt Beagle, 73, has passed away and left some big shoes to fill in the Bronx.
Bronx-born Beagle recently lost his long battle with cancer. Beagle had served as the sports information director at Baruch College. He was also a major force in CUNY Conference sports. Beagle was a New York State Basketball Hall of Fame award recipient.
