Legislators advance bill to make Siberian husky the official state dog
State lawmakers unanimously passed a bill out of committee that would make the Siberian husky the official state dog Friday.
Jonathan the Husky, the UConn mascot, testified in favor of the bill two weeks ago with his handler reading the testimony for him.
The full Legislature will have to approve the bill later in the session.
