High school football teams are gearing up for the start of the season nearly two weeks away.
The PSAL football season kicks off September 8, with the Lehman Lions playing South Shore in a rematch of last year?s first-round playoff game.
The Lions return this season with four offensive linemen and fullback Freddy Guzman. New quarterback Jamari Young will replace Christopher Anderson.
According to some in the media as well as PSAL coaches, Lehman is a team to watch this season. It still remains to be seen where they will be ranked in the pre-season football poll from New York State sportswriters, which will be released next week.
