Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) conceded Connecticut's Democratic primary for U.S. Senate Tuesday. Lieberman struggled in his bid for a fourth term Tuesday, battling to overcome a tough primary challenge and Democratic critics who targeted him for his strong support for the Iraq war. Ned Lamont, a former Greenwich selectman, repeated his opposition to the Iraq war and said a change is needed in the Senate. Lieberman vowed to run as an independent in November.
