Gov. Dannel Malloy's proposed budget includes several cuts in education funding.
The cities in our area will not lose any money, but many local towns will see cuts.
Several would see their educational cost sharing grants eliminated.
Fairfield First Selectmen Mike Tetreau says that totals nearly $3.6 million for the town.
The cuts to education funding are part of Malloy's s revised plan to cover next fiscal year's entire deficit, which has grown to as much as $933 million.
