Today is the 150th anniversary of the first Arbor Day!
In honor of that, PSEG LI volunteers planted two dozen native flowering trees at the Charles Dominey Suffolk County Park between the West Sayville golf course and the Maritime Museum on Montauk Highway.
"The trees that we are planting here today are going to be fruit bearing trees for the wildlife here in the area, so it's going to beautify the location but also from an environmental standpoint be great for the local wild life," says George Coburn, of PSEG LI.
