A family from East Lyme is giving back to children in need this Christmas.
Madeline's Wish Toy Drive started in 2015 while 9-year-old Madeline Guarraia battled leukemia for a third time.
According to Madeline's mom, Aime, she asked people to donate toys to children's hospitals.
Madeline died just a few months later, but a toy drive continues in her memory.
"When kids are sick at the holidays, families are stressed and any help is really helping the family to make a Christmas," says Cynthia Sparer, of Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.
In addition to their toy collections, Madeline's family has raised tens of thousands of dollars throughout the year.
