A Madison man faces charges for allegedly defrauding investors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Prosecutors say Brian Hughes was supposed to use the money from investors to buy vodka for the company he started, Handcrafted Brands LLC.

But instead, they say he used the funds for his personal use.

Hughes faces a host of charges including wire fraud.

His attorney has not responded to News 12's request for comment.
