Water services were restored Monday night in Waterbury after a crippling main break caused the entire system to lose pressure on Friday.

The water remains undrinkable with a boil water advisory still in effect. The city has urged patience as services get back online.

The main break was found on Thomaston Avenue last Wednesday.

Schools within Waterbury are closed due to the ongoing issue and the city is distributing water bottles for those who need them.
