Baldor Specialty Foods, one of the leading food distributors in the northeast, is now delivering to the doorsteps of Connecticut residents.
Baldor Specialty Foods is based out of the Bronx and normally services restaurants. It says 70% of its business is now home delivery.
Ben Walker, Baldor Specialty Foods vice president of sales and marketing, says the company started offering a home delivery option after the coronavirus outbreak.

The company says it's now doing about 1,500 orders a day in the tristate area, and that has allowed it to bring back 95% of its employees.
Walker says the company says 85% of its business evaporated when the shutdown began. He says the company now has a strong supply chain and the customers are happy.
Walker says Baldor just launched in the Greater Hartford area and has been doing the entire coastline of Connecticut.
