Make-A-Wish Connecticut and Jersey Mike's are teaming up to make an 8-year-old's wish come true.

The organizations held a sendoff celebration Monday night for Armani.

"To make such a small-time commitment to be so impactful in our community...it's a no-brainer," said Mitchell Thomson, franchisee of Jersey Mike's

On April 9, he and his family will head to Florida to go to Legoland, all expenses paid.

The Make-A-Wish team says it's the generosity of the community that makes it all possible.

"We can't do what we do without the support of our community partners, so it's a game-changer," said Kim Smith, director of community giving with Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

Jersey Mike's is also holding a Day of Giving on March 29, where 100% of the day's proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish.
