A man has been arrested in Stamford following a domestic violence incident involving a hand gun.
Dario Cadena-Hamilton allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her while holding a gun to her head.
She managed to run away and call police.
He was arrested at the Super 8 Motel on Grenhart Road in Stamford.
“We're happy we had a successful outcome, you know we really believe this guy is a danger to society, a danger to her, and like I said, we take domestic violence very seriously here,” says Lt. Diedrich Hohn. “This is like the pinnacle of domestic violence, the domestic violence cycle and obviously she did all the right things, she ran, she called the police right away and cooperated with us and we were able to get this guy off the streets.”
According to police, when they found him, he had a loaded gun hidden under the hotel mattress.
