Stamford police say a man is facing charges after brutally beating his developmentally disabled girlfriend.
Police say the victim told them Johnnie Thompson, 38, punched her, choked her, slammed her head against a closet door and hit her in the face with her own keys early Thursday morning.
They say Thompson threatened to kill her if she reported it to his probation officer.
