Man allegedly attempts to rob Stamford diner

Stamford police are investigating an attempted robbery that took place at a local diner early Saturday morning. Police say a man entered the Bull?s Head Diner at 43 High Ridge Road at around 6:00 a.m.

Stamford police are investigating an attempted robbery that took place at a local diner early Saturday morning.
Police say a man entered the Bull?s Head Diner at 43 High Ridge Road at around 6:00 a.m. and gave the cashier a note demanding cash and indicating that he had a gun and a bomb. The suspect fled when the cashier told him that there was a police officer close by.
According to police, the man was found when he ran a red light in Stamford on West Main Street. Greenwich police pulled him over and, realizing that he was the robbery suspect, took him into custody. He is expected to be charged with robbery.
