A man and his dog have been reunited after two dramatic rescues off the coast of Bridgeport.
It started when the man was at Seaside Park with two of his dogs. When he saw one of his dogs swim out to sea, the man tied his other dog up, so he could go out into the water to save his other dog.
Bridgeport police soon came to rescue the man, but not the dog.
That's when 9-year-old Isabella comes into the picture. Friday morning, she and her mother were walking the jetty after returning from the light house when they spotted a dog buried underneath large rocks.
Isabella's mother called 911 and, after 20 minutes, Animal Control was able to pull the dog out. The dog is OK.
"I was really happy, I was grateful. I was actually starting to pray in my mind because I got scared, but when I saw it like, lift up, I was like, really happy and I was just really, happy, that's all I can explain," said Isabella.
The owner of the dog was admitted to the hospital, and he and his two dogs were reunited Friday.
