A man was arrested Thursday in connection to a fatal March shooting in Bridgeport.
Eric Ayala, 22, who is already behind bars on unrelated charges, is being held under a $1 million bond in connection with the killing of Greg Ingram.
Ingram, 33, was shot and killed near Seaview Avenue back in March of 2021.
The beloved local resident is remembered as a hardworking father of five children.
The community came together to send a message to Ingram's family this morning, telling News 12 they're happy justice is being served.
"One thing we need to do is we need to just put these guns down," said Lakesha Stines. "There's too much going on.  We have to worry about coronavirus and other problems. People are dying all over the world and the last thing we need is someone to come and take a life for no reason -- when we're already out here dying, and trying to survive already."
In addition to conspiracy to commit murder, Ayala is also facing a charge of criminal possession of a firearm.
Ayala will be arraigned Friday.
