A Bridgeport man is facing charges after police say a child in his care was found wandering in the street alone.
Investigators say the 2-year-old boy was found uninjured near Marigold and Cityview avenues Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the child's mother had to go out, and left her son in the care of 33-year-old Rondell Williams.
Investigators say that Williams was found on the floor and under the influence of narcotics. They say Williams apparently passed out and the child wandered outside.
Police say at first Williams was unresponsive, but eventually came to and was aggressive with officers.
Police also say Williams had several outstanding warrants and remains behind bars on a variety of charges, including child endangerment.
