A Greenwich waiter has entered a plea in an incident in which police say he hit and dragged a woman with his car.
Greenwich police say Vyacheslav Cherepov, 28, hit the victim in a parking lot on Williams Street in 2013, then drove from the scene, dragging her several hundred yards in the process.
The woman died a short time later.
Cherepov had been charged with second-degree manslaughter and evading responsibility.
Officials say Cherepov pleaded guilty yesterday under the Alford Doctrine, which means he did not admit guilt, but agrees the there is enough evidence to convict him.
