State police say a man from New York died after he was struck by a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Greenwich.
It happened around 4 p.m. Saturday on the southbound side of the highway, between the Exit 3 on- and off-ramps.
Police say 24-year-old Carlos Coyt-Orozco, of Rye Brook, and another man were pushing their car on the shoulder after it ran out of gas.
They say the driver of the tractor-trailer had his vision become impaired by the sun glare and drifted to the right, causing him to hit the victim.
Coyt-Orozco was hospitalized and was later pronounced dead.
