A Milford man will spend six months behind bars after cashing in over $300,000 in Social Security benefits meant for his dead mother.
William Chase, 69, was sentenced yesterday after prosecutors say he failed to notify the Social Security Administration of his mother's death in 1988.
Chase is also required to pay back all the money he stole.
