A 55-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning.
Police say someone called 911 when they saw Robert Hartman lying in the middle of the road.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on West Avenue near the on-ramp to I-95 in Norwalk, shutting down the area for several hours.
Hartman is being treated for his injuries at Norwalk Hospital. Police say the driver turned himself into police late Wednesday afternoon. They say the driver has not yet been charged.
The vehicle involved in the crash has also been taken into custody.
Anyone who witnessed anything in regard to the incident is urged to call Norwalk police.
