Man stabbed in Fairfield; suspect detained
Police responded to what they described as an isolated incident involving a stabbing on Putting Green Road around 11:30 a.m. Police say the two men knew each other and lived together. It's not known if they are related.

A man was stabbed in Fairfield Friday, police say.
Police responded to what they described as an isolated incident involving a stabbing on Putting Green Road around 11:30 a.m.
Officers arrived minutes later and detained Darren Palumbo. They also provided aid to the victim, who has injuries that were not considered life-threatening. His identity has not been released.
Police say the two men knew each other and lived together. It's not known if they are related.
Although there was no threat to the public, North Stratfield School was briefly placed in secure status as a precaution until officers confirmed Palumbo was in custody.
Police say the 56-year-old has not been arrested as of Friday afternoon but will be charged.
