Police say the man accused of trying to steal slippers from a Lord & Taylor store on Friday and then leading police on a chase is facing a slew of charges.

Man who led officers on chase over stolen slippers faces slew of charges
Police say the man accused of trying to steal slippers from a Lord & Taylor store on Friday and then leading police on a chase is facing a slew of charges.
Police have identified the suspect as Jorge Duche, of Stamford.
They say Duche fought back during his arrest and led police on a chase that hurt seven officers.
Duche crashed into two cars before a K-9 officer was able to stop him.
Police say Duche is facing charges that include robbery, assault on a police officer, interfering with police, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, two counts of assault and operating a vehicle with a revoked license.
He remains behind bars and will be arraigned on Tuesday.
