Police are investigating an incident in Norwalk that landed two people in the hospital.
Officials say a fight broke out in the VIP section of the Lotus Lounge at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. They say a man and woman were badly cut.
Authorities are trying to determine whether the incident was a stabbing or whether bottles were being thrown and the victims were hit.
Patrol Sgt. Joe Dinho says one of the victims was cut three times in her right leg.
"She saw a large altercation in the vicinity of where she was, which she wasn't involved in, and a group of people were running outside the lounge," Sgt. Dinho says. "She said that she also started to exit the lounge when she felt something dig into her leg, which caused her to fall."
Police also say both victims are expected to fully recover.
Police add that they frequently respond to disturbances at the Lotus Lounge.
Anyone with information is asked to call Norwalk police.
