A man and a woman were killed in a hail of bullets late Sunday evening in Bridgeport.

Desmond McFarlane, 40, and Debbie Brown, 36, were shot to death while sitting in a car at the intersection of Ash Street and Siliman Avenue. McFarlane died on the scene, while Brown succumbed to her wounds at Bridgeport Hospital.

Witnesses told police the shooter fled the scene immediately following the incident.

Authorities say they have some good leads to work with in their search for an armed and dangerous suspect they want off the streets immediately.

"We've increased our patrols in that particular location in the city, and we're receiving information from concerned citizens,? says Detective Keith Bryant. ?Hopefully we'll develop an individual of interest that will result in an arrest.?
