The Manhattan College men's soccer team is celebrating its 40th year as the start of the season nears.The Jaspers finished 3-16 overall and 1-8 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference last year. While the team didn't qualify for the postseason tournament in 2006, all MAAC teams will get into the tourney thanks to an auto-qualifying pass.Michael Swanwick has led the team for three years. Players said they feel things are looking up this year.
"We brought in some guys who can find the back of the net," said Dan Cipriano.
The Jaspers open the season September 1 against Holy Cross.
