A man was found dead in the water off Water Street just after 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to Norwalk police. 

Norwalk detectives and the Marine Unit officers recovered the body from the Norwalk Harbor near the boating docks behind 50 Water St.

They say he was dead when they found him.

Police say they are not releasing the victim’s identity until next of kin is notified.
