Marine units from the Stamford and Greenwich police departments say they discovered a man's body Saturday in the Long Island Sound.
Police say the body was found off Shippan Point. According to Lt. Sean Cooney, of the Stamford Police Department, authorities are not able to confirm if the body found is that of 52-year-old David McKinley, a boater who went missing June 27.
McKinley's 21-foot boat was found drifting last Saturday off Shippan Point. The Coast Guard had called off the search for McKinley's body June 28.
