A city official says a Bridgeport man may have shot his wife in the face and himself in the head early Friday morning, but police say it's too early in their investigation to know what happened.
Officials say the shooting happened at 15 Chase St. around 5 a.m. and left both people seriously wounded.
Authorities say a woman called police, who arrived to find both her and her husband with several gunshot wounds inside their house. They say the couple's 4-year-old daughter is currently doing well in police custody and may be considered a witness at some point.
Residents say they knew the couple and were shocked to hear of the news. They say the husband and the wife were a nice, soft-spoken couple who kept to themselves.
