One of the first mass drive-thru vaccination sites is open at Lord & Taylor in Stamford.
The site is located just off Long Ridge Road.
The site is a drive-thru, which means those getting vaccinated do not even have to get out of their car.
Up until now, if seniors 75 and older called 211 to schedule an appointment, the closest drive-thru site they'd be directed to was the one in East Hartford.
The site is operated by the Community Health Center and will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4. p.m.
Like all vaccination clinics statewide, you will need to make an appointment before getting vaccinated.
Those eligible to get vaccinated in the state right now are those in Phase 1A and seniors 75 and older under Phase 1B.
Those eligible can call 211 or use the VAMS online portal to make an appointment.
Community Health Center officials say they hope to vaccinate a thousand people a day once they get more supply.
