A mass vaccination site opened in Stamford in the Harbor Point section of the city Monday.
Stamford Health is operating the site located at 1 Elmcroft Road, at the Building and Land Technology building - which is where the former Pitney Bowes Headquarters used to be.
It's Stamford Health's second vaccination site.
It has already vaccinated thousands of people in the Wheeler Building at Stamford Hospital.
That site will remain open allowing them to significantly scale up the number of people they can vaccinate a day.
"We've been doing at Stamford Hospital about 700 to 900 a day. We should be easily able to double that by adding the Elmcroft site. With the potential, if we get enough vaccines, is to get up to 3,000 doses a day for our community, which is our ultimate goal is to get everybody vaccinated," Dr. Michael Parry, of Stamford Health, says.
Those eligible to get vaccinated can make an appointment using the Stamford Health website.
