Mayor Harry Rilling presented a proclamation to honor Norwalk Hospital EMS workers.
The goal was to bring awareness to the work done by EMT's and paramedics. Just within the city, EMS responds to more than 11,000 calls a year.
They also provide paramedic service to several area communities.
