Medical examiner: State trooper killed during storm died of blunt force trauma to chest

The state medical examiner says Sgt. Brian Mohl died of blunt force trauma to the chest.

The state medical examiner says Sgt. Brian Mohl died of blunt force trauma to the chest.
Officials did not speculate what may have caused the impact.
Troopers say Mohl's last radio transmission was to alert dispatch that his cruiser was being swept away by the water of the Pomperaug River in Woodbury.
Sgt. Mohl was later found outside his cruiser in the river.
