No one has won the Mega Millions jackpot in 30 tries, raising the total to more than $1 billion for the fifth time in game history, and the second time this year.
Connecticut has been a lucky state. There was a $40,000 Mega Millions winner sold in Fairfield just this week - just one number shy of the jackpot.
There’s also an unclaimed ticket for $365,000 every year for life that was sold in Greenwich that’s set to expire at the end of the month.

The winning numbers in Friday night's drawing were 11, 30, 45, 52, 56 and the Mega Ball number was 20.
