The three-alarm blaze that ripped through seven Westchester Square businesses Sunday has left store owners and customers in disbelief.
A coffee shop, Chinese-food restaurant, florist and barber shop are among the mom-and-pop stores that were destroyed on Westchester and Tremont avenues.
The Westchester Square Merchants Association says it is working with city officials to relocate merchants, help them apply for grants and get emergency aid. The city's Department of Small Business Services is also making arrangements for pro-bono lawyers who can help get merchants back on their feet.
